My name is David O’Hara. I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Teddington, South-West London.
As a therapist I see it as my role to encourage people to openly explore their lives, their experiences and their difficulties within a warm and supportive setting. I believe that it is through clarification of the way in which we live our lives, that we can best discover new possibilities and more rewarding ways of living.
I see my clients both online and in a comfortable private room, moments from the tranquillity of Teddington Lock.
I appreciate that it can often feel nerve-wracking contacting a therapist for the first time. However, if you email me I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions and you would be under no obligation to continue any further if what I offer doesn’t feel right for you.
Should you choose to continue or find out more, we can arrange a time for telephone conversation or book in an initial appointment where we can meet and discuss why you are choosing to come to therapy and what your goals may be.
I am a fully registered clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the Society for Existential Analysis (SEA). I am a strong believer in the importance of ethical professional practice and follow both the UKCP and SEA codes of professional conduct.
